New Build: Alu Marine 65' Trawler Catamaran

Originally scheduled to be a 58', the new Alu Marine 65' will commence a new range of trawler catamarans. Construction at the Alu Marine Shipyard will start on September 2011 for delivery toward the end of 2012...

 

Both the 58’ and 65’ trawlers were designed by Sterling Design International.

 

Alu Marine and SDI have succeeded in combining large living spaces, good performance, comfort accommodations and accessibility to berths. With a beam optimized for access in most marinas, this new range offers an interesting alternative to traditional monohulls, with the expected space and stability inherent in a catamaran. The 65 feet version offers a large salon, a large master suite, four guest cabins and a crew cabin.

 

As expected with a cat, main deck space is particularly spacious. The trawler offers four guest cabins in her hulls. In addition, a crew cabin is located forward with a dedicated bathroom. The owner's cabin is located forward on the main deck, granting panoramic views forward and to each side.

The interior helm gives a direct access to the flybridge with the tender on the aft deck. Spacious, the flybridge is an attractive and comfortable living area with a large sunbed - the perfect place to relax. The boat will be equipped with an aft platform for swimming and for the tender. Equipped with two 480hp engines, complying with the latest environmental standards, she can easily reach 21 knots."
